Â
đź’ˇ What are the standard Legal Intake indicators?
To streamline your routine, netLex provides reports with standard indicators ready to be added to your dashboard. This means you don’t need to manually build the chart structure: the metric is already configured to provide the best visualization for that data.
The "properties" section (the chart formula) is kept fixed in Legal Intake to ensure everyone on the team analyzes the same data using the same calculation rules, preventing accidental changes to the indicator’s meaning.
Â
🛠️ How to add Legal Intake charts to your dashboard?
Unlike manually created charts, standardized indicators are accessed through predefined templates:
- In the Intelligence menu, click the Create with Templates button in the upper-right corner.
- In the window that opens, select the Charts or Dashboards tab.
- Choose from the available predefined chart options or dashboard templates.
- Click Next to add it to your panel.
Â
🔍 Focusing on what matters (filters)
While the metric (the “what”) is fixed, the context (the “when” and “where”) is fully customizable. Use the filter panel on the left to refine your analysis:
- Period: Change the time range to view historical data or focus on recent events.
- Granularity: Adjust the time grouping (hour, day, week, or month) to identify different trends.
-
Apply: When you click Apply, the chart is regenerated while preserving the integrity of the original metric within the new context.
Â
📊 Organizing visualization and readability
You can adjust the appearance and data order using the right-side menu to improve clarity:
- Sorting: Arrange bars in Chronological order (time evolution) or by Volume (performance rankings).
-
Direction: Choose Ascending or Descending to highlight the desired values.
 -
Data labels: Enable to display the exact number above each bar, making quick reading easier.
 -
Reference line: Add a visual line (average or target) to compare current results with expectations.
 -
Show empty data: Ensure periods with no activity (zero values) appear on the chart to identify potential gaps or issues in service.
Â
After finishing your adjustments, click Save chart in the upper-right corner to keep this customized view for future access.

âť“ Frequently asked questions
-
Why does the "properties" section have limited options in Legal Intake charts?Â
This section contains the fixed chart formula to ensure consistency. It prevents, for example, someone from accidentally switching "completed sessions" to "started sessions," preserving report integrity.
 -
Can I create a completely new metric in these Legal Intake templates?Â
No. In these standardized templates, you use the metrics predefined by netLex to ensure the best technical visualization for that specific data.
