💡 What is the “It's current” operator?
The “It's current” operator is a new feature in the netLex Intelligence date filters, designed for those who need to analyze closed periods (such as a specific month, quarter, or year) dynamically. Previously, you only had the options of static filters (with fixed dates) or continuous dynamic filters (“Is the last” / “Is the next”, which recalculated the period daily). With “It's current”, the filter automatically adjusts to the current period without the need for manual updates, combining the precision of a closed period with the convenience of automatic updates.

🛠️ How does the “It's current” operator work?
The “It's current” operator allows you to select a closed period (month, quarter, year) that adapts automatically as time progresses. See some examples:
- It's current month: If you are in August, the filter will cover from 08/01 to 08/31. When it turns to September, it will automatically adjust to 09/01 to 09/30.
- It's current quarter: Covers the current quarter and adjusts automatically when moving to the next one.
- It's current year: Covers from 01/01 to 12/31 of the current year and automatically changes to the new year.
It is important to note that this new operator is applicable only to filters within the chart and cannot yet be used in the general dashboard filters.
🚀 How to apply the new filter?
Applying the new “It's current” filter is simple and fast:
- Access the chart in Intelligence.
- Open the filter menu and select a date property (for example, Document Creation Date).
- Choose the “It's current” operator.
- Define the desired period (month, quarter, year, etc.).
Done! The system will handle adjusting the range automatically as the calendar advances.
âť“ Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the difference between “Is the last” and “It's current”?
- “Is the last”: Creates a rolling window (e.g., last 30 days), always recalculating the period based on the current date.
- “It's current”: Sets a closed period (e.g., current month), but which changes automatically to the next closed period when the calendar advances.
2. Can I use “It's current” along with other filters?
Yes. The operator works in conjunction with other filters normally.
3. Does this operator apply to all date properties?
Yes, as long as the property is of the date type.
4. Do I need to adjust the filter every month/quarter/year?
No. The operator takes care of updating the range automatically, ensuring that you are always viewing the current period without manual intervention.
