💡 What is this feature?
The feature to export and import the Document tab in Smart templates allows you to easily replicate an existing template without having to manually rebuild all parts of the document.
Before this update, there was no way to export the document tab, which made the copying and replication process laborious and time-consuming. It was necessary to create a new template, import the properties, and then manually copy the document structure and the preparation questionnaire.
Now, with the new export and import option, the process has become much simpler, faster, and safer.
🛠️ How does the feature operate?
The export and import process is simple and can be performed directly in the Document tab of the Smart template:
- Access the desired Smart template in Settings > My Templates.
- Go to the Document tab.
- Click on the three dots (action menu) in the upper right corner of the tab.
- Select the Export option.
- A .zip file will be generated, containing all the document information:
- Groups
- Properties
- Preparation questionnaire
- Logo used in the template
- To import:
- Create a new Smart template.
- Access the three dots again in the Document tab.
- Select Import and choose the .zip file exported previously.
All document information will be automatically restored, preserving the original structure of the Smart template. This automation eliminates rework and ensures consistency between replicated templates.
