💡 What is AI Extraction in Import?

The Document Import feature simplifies and accelerates the importation of your legacy documents, now with the help of Artificial Intelligence. From now on, you will have a new and powerful way to upload your legacy files to netLex, with the possibility of batch upload and data extraction via artificial intelligence.

Import allows you to upload batch files autonomously, without the need for intervention from our team. Furthermore, if data extraction via Artificial Intelligence is enabled, it optimizes the filling of information about your documents, making the process faster and more accurate.
 

⚙️ How does AI work in Import?

The integration of AI into the batch import process is optional and occurs in the following stages:
 

1. Enabling Permissions for Management Reading

The user will only be able to create new documents via Batch Upload if they have the permissions to upload documents and read templates in at least one folder on the platform. For the user to be able to activate AI extraction, it is necessary for the user to have Management reading permission.

2. Activation of Property Filling with AI

The option to activate AI extraction will only be displayed if the environment has this feature released.



The option to "Enable automatic filling with AI" will be available in the import if the AI Property Extraction feature is released in your environment; by default, if available, it will be turned on, but you can deactivate it.

3. Template Selection and Automatic Processing

When choosing a Template for import, if this template has configured management properties, the AI can use them to extract information. After uploading the files and activating the AI, the system processes the documents to identify and automatically fill in the management properties. The files you present will be transformed into documents associated with the template and the folder you choose at the time of upload.

 

4. Tracking AI Extraction

All your imports will be listed so you can check the upload status and, if selected, the progress of AI property extraction in a specific column in the import list, separately from the file upload progress bar.

 

⚠️ Important Considerations about AI in Import

• It is not mandatory to use AI data extraction when uploading.
• AI Extraction is linked to the property structure defined in a template. To use AI in batch import, you must select a template that has configured management properties.
• If AI is not enabled in the environment, the extraction option will not be displayed.
• If the user does not have property reading permission, they will not see the result of the extraction. If the template does not have properties enabled for AI filling, they will not be filled.
• The use of AI can make mistakes. Therefore, check the answers and make necessary revisions.
