How to edit documents in netLex Editor?
The netLex Text Editor is a tool that allows writing and editing the content of documents prepared in the system. Like other text editors, it has all the necessary functionality to make it easier to make adjustments to the content of the minutes.
To start editing a document in netLex, just access the editing tab as shown in the image below:
Note: If this option is not enabled, you will need to check whether it is enabled for the document model in question and whether your user has permission to perform this action.

On this tab, you can find options and tools that allow users to make editing adjustments as desired. The options are varied and are available on the toolbar at the top of the screen.
It is possible to insert images, hyperlinks, comments, tables, graphs, among others.
Below is a list of the features available in the Editor:
- Simultaneous editing - real-time collaboration
It is possible for more than one user to edit the document at the same time. If someone is working on the document, you'll see their presence and the changes they're making. The Editor also displays in its header the number of people who are collaborating on the document.
- Enable Full Screen:
You can expand the Editor canvas to allow you to view the document in full screen:
- Track Changes (change control)
Enabling the Track Changes feature provides a way to make changes easy to identify. Through it, users can revise a document and the system differentiates the changes made by each user. This functionality can be enabled at the bottom of the screen as shown below:
They work as suggestions that you can review and then remove or make them permanent, that is, you can accept or reject them.
To accept or reject each text change made by you or other collaborators through track changes, there are two options:
1- Timely accept or reject each change: The button for this action will be available when you click on each one.
2- Accept or reject all changes made to the document at once through the collaboration tab:
Note: In the collaboration tab, it is also possible to explore other resources regarding changes made to the document.
- Insertion of Comments
To insert comments throughout the document, you must select the section you want to comment on and click on "Trigger comment". This function is available on the "insert" tab of the tools menu and also when right-clicking inside the editing area:
Through this functionality, it is possible to leave observations and clarifications regarding that section so that they can be viewed by other users. Also use to assign required tasks or actions to other document viewers.
After inserting a comment, the system enables the reply option, so that people who are collaborating with the document can give their opinion on the topic. You can also edit and delete comments if needed:
The response from other users will also be saved and linked to the section initially selected. See the example below:
- Saving Changes
NetLex saves changes automatically. Changes are saved whenever the user stops editing the document for a few seconds. In this way, it is not necessary to perform any action for the save to occur.
However, as a good practice, we advise that when finishing editing the document, the user makes sure that the message "all changes were saved" is appearing at the bottom of the editor screen, as shown in the image below:
Note: If this message is still not appearing, wait a few seconds as the system may still be saving your changes.
- Finish Editing
In order for the Editing of the document to be finished, it is only necessary to return to the "Reading" tab of the document. Once this is done, it will be possible to verify whether the changes made were as expected in the final document.
