🆕 What is the optimized search in the activity listing?
The optimized search in the activity listing uses Elasticsearch technology, which increases the speed and accuracy of searches. With it, you can search for activities more efficiently, taking into account factors such as free text, completion status, and more.
This improvement was implemented to optimize free text search in the activity listing and in the "completion status" filter.
Main improvements:
- Faster and more efficient search with Elasticsearch.
- Unification of the activity listing between Classic and nextGen documents.
-> If the customer has both Classic and nextGen documents, it will no longer be necessary to switch versions in the dropdown located in the upper left corner of the screen. - Implementation of smart filters and relevance-based sorting.
This feature was designed to optimize the workflow, making it easier to find activities, especially in scenarios with a large volume of data.
⚙️ How to use the new search?
Access the activity listing on the platform.
Type the desired terms into the search bar. The fields considered in the search are:
- Document number
- Document name
- Author (name or email)
- Responsible party (user or team)
- Associated metadata
Use the "completion status" filter to quickly see activities in progress (by default, the filter is already set to "in progress").
➡️ How is the search ordered?
The search is ordered based on a score, considering:
- The number of times the searched term is present in the item;
- Searched terms;
- Permissioning: activities the user has access to;
- Exact term match: if we perform a search with compound terms, documents that have an exact match with the term will take priority, regardless of the order mentioned above.
With the new search in the activity listing, you will have more speed and accuracy in locating activities, making the workflow even more efficient. 🔍
