💡 What is the functionality?
Document creation in netLex is based on templates. A template is an automated draft that, through an interactive questionnaire, generates a customized final document.
This functionality eliminates the need to manually edit standard drafts, ensuring that business rules and company visual identity are maintained in every new file generated.
🛠️ How to create a new document?
To start drafting a document, follow these steps:
- In the left sidebar menu, click the Create new document based on a Template icon.
- Navigate through the folders or use the search bar to find the desired template.
- Once you find the document, click the Create New button.
- Answer the questions in the questionnaire that will be displayed.
- After completing the answers, the final document will be automatically generated based on your input.
📂 How is the template screen organized?
To make management easier, templates are organized in two main ways:
- Search Field: Located at the top of the page, it allows you to search for the template directly by name.
- Folders and Subfolders: These function as categories (e.g., Legal, Procurement, or Leasing). You can navigate the directory structure in the left menu to filter templates from a specific area.
Tip: To search the entire repository, make sure the "All" option is selected in the folders tab. Otherwise, the system will only search within the selected folder.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
- I can't find the template I need. What should I do? Template visibility depends on your access permissions. If a template does not appear, contact your company's netLex Administrator to check your folder permissions.
- I'm typing, and the answer field remains empty. Why? This usually happens when the entered content does not match the field type (e.g., trying to type letters in a field that only accepts numbers). Check for value restrictions or masks (such as Zip Code or SSN).
- The document preview has agreement errors (gender/plural). Is this normal? Yes. The preview is a simplified visualization. Full processing of grammar rules and complex automations occurs only after completing the questionnaire, when the final document is generated.
- I finished the questionnaire but didn't send it to the workflow. Where is the file? Your document is saved as a draft. To find it, go to the "Documents" menu on the left sidebar and click "Finish questionnaire" on the respective item.
