How to request an extension of the deadline of a stage that is under your responsibility
You can request an extension of the deadline for a workflow step, if you are responsible for it. To do so, access the left side menu and select the “Documents” option and then access the desired document. After that, it's necessary to click on the little arrow of the deadline option on the bottom bar of the screen, and then click on “Request deadline extension”.
You can request change to:
- Specific day: say which day is ideal for carrying out the task. Exp.: extend from 01/16 to 01/24.
- Add deadline: request for more x days to complete the task. Exp.: The task is for the 16th and I need another 10 days, that is, an additional 10 days, to complete it.
In the “message” field you can register the justification for this request. Then just send.
If this request is sent, the activity requester will receive an email with the proposal, which may or may not be accepted. In the event that the request is accepted, in the management bar and in the upper right corner, the “new” alert will appear next to the deadline, which will already be updated for the new date.
If the applicant does not respond to the deadline extension request within 24 hours, the deadline may be automatically extended as requested. This is a configuration that may have been released by your company or not, check with the NetLex Platform Administrator at your company.
The request and its response will appear in the history within a specific document on the platform.
The Administrator of the netLex platform in your company or any user who has permission to change the workflow step deadline in the profile configuration as well can also change the deadline of a step, if necessary. To do this, he/she needs to search for the document through the “Activities” page and enter his/her management screen. By clicking on the little arrow next to the deadline, in the upper right corner of the screen, the option “Change deadline” will appear. This edit is also recorded in the document history.
