🎯 Objective
Learn in detail all the actions allowed in each of the new predefined netLex profiles: Viewer, User, Power User, and Admin. This guide presents the exhaustive list of permissions in the correct order of platform display, assisting in choosing the ideal access level for each collaborator by highlighting the incremental permissions.
This article contains the following sections:
- What can the Viewer profile do?
- What can the User profile do?
- What can the Power User profile do?
- What can the Admin profile do?
- Comparison Table
- Frequently Asked Questions
Important: This update is being released gradually. If the new profiles do not yet appear for you, your environment will be updated automatically soon. 🚀
🔐 The Dual Validation Rule
For a user to perform actions within a folder (such as editing, downloading, or signing), netLex performs a dual validation. This means that the desired permission must be enabled in both places simultaneously:
- In the Access Profile: Defines what the user can do within the platform in general.
-
In the Folder Settings: Defines what the user is permitted to do specifically in that folder.
⚠️ Attention: If the permission is marked in only one of these places, the user will not be able to perform the action. netLex will always adopt the most restrictive configuration between the two.
