How to approve or reject a step in a document's workflow.
Functionality Presentation
Full explanation
Being responsible for a workflow step within a document, you can approve or reject this step. This is valid both when analyzing a contract or sending a response to a legal consultation, for example. To approve or reject the step, click on one of the highlighted buttons in the image below.
If you approve, the document will flow to the next step and the activity will no longer appear for you on the “Activities” page.
When rejecting, you will need to select which workflow step you want the document to return to and write the rejection reason.
There are situations where the approve step button will not be available. This means there is still information that needs to be filled in on the questionnaire. Therefore, you must access the questionnaire in one of the highlighted ways in the image below, fill in the necessary data, and then click on the “Complete questionnaire” button. Upon completion of the quiz, the approve button will be visible and you will then be able to approve the step.
It is worth noting that if the “Complete questionnaire” button is not activated, the data entered in the questionnaire will not be saved and, consequently, it will not be possible to approve the step. Remember that there are deadlines to meet, and if the deadline is not met, the workflow can be closed automatically, depending on the workflow configuration.
When this activity is specifically assigned to you and when there is no questionnaire to be completed at that step, you can approve or reject the document directly through the received email. This option is beneficial when you do not have access to your computer and cannot access the NetLex platform.
If you still need to perform some activity on the document management screen, such as filling out a certain questionnaire page, email approval is disabled and you must access the platform to approve or reject the step.
