💡 What is the feature?
Previously, the contact system was focused on the Brazilian standard (CPF/CNPJ, national area codes, and zip codes). With the new update, netLex now offers an intelligent workflow to handle foreign contacts, eliminating manual processes and entry errors.
By selecting a country, the system automatically adapts the tax identification fields (such as RUT in Chile or RRN in Korea), as well as phone masks and location-specific addresses. This ensures that netLex is the single source of truth for your global contracts and contacts.
🛠️ How does the feature work?
The feature is natively integrated into the workflows you already know. Here is how to use it:
- When filling out the information, access the country field in the contact registration.
On the contacts screen:
In the questionnaire:
- Select the desired country. The system will immediately apply the corresponding validation mask for the tax registry and phone number.
- Fill in marital status, profession, and other selectors, which are now open fields to accept international terminologies.
- Save the contact. It will be available to be reused in other documents and questionnaires (Smart, Review, and Signature) without the need for retyping.
⚠️ Limitations
To maintain data integrity, there are some important rules:
- Unique Identifier: It is not possible to save multiple tax identifiers for the same contact (e.g., having both a CPF and a foreign registry simultaneously).
-
Mask Consistency: The system prevents saving an identifier that is incompatible with the standard of the selected country.
