🎯 Objective
In this article, you will learn about the Folder Name property in Intelligence, which allows you to include folder data in charts and filters. This feature provides more context for analyses and makes it easier to identify documents by folder structure.
🆕 What has changed?
The Folder Name property is now available in Intelligence and can be used in charts and filters. The type of this property is “Text”, allowing detailed analyses and segmentations by profile (folder).
⚙️ How does it work in practice?
The Folder Name property can be used both to create charts and to apply filters in Intelligence, and is available in library charts and in author mode.
Folder structure:
The data in charts is always presented following the format root folder > subfolder, as there are no documents directly within root folders; all documents are organized in subfolders.
Filtering by Folder Name:
Filtering by the exact name of the root folder
When you search by the exact name of a root folder, no data will be returned, since the documents are stored only in the subfolders.
Filter with the “Contains” parameter
If you use the filter with the “Contains” parameter and the name of the root folder, the search will return all the documents present in the subfolders of that folder.
📝 Practical example:
Environment structure:
Root folder: Legal Contracts
Subfolders: Main and Amendments
Documents:
2 documents in the "Main" subfolder
1 document in the "Amendments" subfolder
Expected results:
Filter: Folder Name = Legal Contracts → No data returned
Filter: Folder Name contains Contracts → 3 documents returned (2 from the "Main" subfolder and 1 from the "Amendments" subfolder)
This behavior is important to ensure that the analysis is based on the organization of the folders, including all subfolders related to the root folder.
🚀 Main benefits
🔍 Easy filtering
Find documents directly through the folder structure, making the search more intuitive.
📊 More contextual dashboards
Include folders in the display of graphs for analysis by profile or category, optimizing the understanding of the data.
With the Folder Name property, your data analysis in intelligence becomes more segmented and contextual, making it easier to work with graphs and filters. 📂
